THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL INFORMATION TO READ BEFORE RPing Rules to RPing: 1. Basically, just be sensible. Don't go around blowing other member's characters up...please act kindly towards others. 2. Do not join a group that you do not plan on staying long (perferably as long as this site lasts) - if you're just going to join a RP group and then quit, I might just ban you from RPing, or there may be consequences worse than that. If you absolutely cannot handle a group that you are already in (for one reason or another), PM me and I'll move you out of the group (to make the end of your character, I might just make your character die from an accident, or something like that). Then, you won't be allowed to RP for two weeks or so (I'll decide), and then I'll help you move into another group. 3. Do NOT include your signature in your RP post. It just makes everything look neater and more readable. In case you don't know how to disable your signature, all you do is uncheck (or leave unchecked if it already is) the box below the posting textbox that says "Include my signature". 4. There will be a Discussion Room also created for the members of the particular RP group. There, you can share your character's bio, picture (you may have created/taken); discuss what should happen, what you'll do together, etc. Do not post anything like this in the RP itself. The RP itself should only have RP posts--even the signatures have been eliminated! 5. Usually, a "group" will be assigned to "start out" the RP - do some introductions, and stuff like that, just to be sure the RP will run smoothly. 6. Once you join an RP group, please check it (somewhat) often and post ASAP so that other members can post their RP too. If you can't post as often, please make a note of it inside the group discussion or something so that we can know to make your character a "minor" one...meaning you don't have to check/post as often. 7. If things run out of control, moderators have permission to shut down the thread (that is, lock it so that further posts may not be created). Then, (s)he will contact me and I will sort it out. If it gets to the point of not being able to be sorted out, I will just close down the entire RP section that was causing these problems. 8. Remember to SAVE your information in another place before you post if you believe Webs is going to screw up, or your post is too long. Apparentally, Webs only allows you to submit posts of 20000 characters (I believe) - I've learned the hard way plenty of times(that's why I'm warning you first). If you absolutely have to post an extremely long RP, then seperate it into two (or more) posts. 9. Once I get this sorted out, there will probably be at least one moderator assigned to each RP group, so that (s)he can help you get started, and monitor for appropriateness (I've learned my lesson after AnonyMiss)...even though they may not actually be in the RP, please respect them. They are doing me (and you as you will later find out) a big favor. 10. No complaining. 11. Be kind to other members in the RP group. 12. You must be a part of a Clan to join an RP group. One last note: Have fun RPing, and do lots of it! | |
